Privacy Policy
This policy explains how information is handled when you visit Korea Tax Guide for Foreigners at taxguidekorea.com or contact the site.
What the site currently offers
This is a public information website. You can read its guides without an account. It has no account registration, payment features, comments, consultation forms, or document uploads, and it does not ask you to submit tax returns or other sensitive records.
We do not currently display advertisements or use Google AdSense or Google Analytics. The public site includes Cloudflare's performance and usage measurement beacon, described below. The advertising section explains what would apply if Google ads are introduced later.
Browsing and hosting data
The site is served through Cloudflare. Delivering a page requires processing connection and request information. Cloudflare may process information such as your IP address, the requested page, request time, and browser or device information, including the user-agent sent by your browser. Operational logs and traffic data may be used to deliver the site, maintain availability, and detect abuse or security problems.
For information about Cloudflare's processing, retention, and international transfers, see its Privacy Policy.
Cloudflare performance and usage measurement
Public pages include Cloudflare's Web Analytics / real user monitoring (RUM) beacon. When it runs, it sends performance and usage information, such as the page URL, referring page, and page-loading measurements, to Cloudflare. This helps measure how pages perform for visitors. Whether a measurement is sent can depend on regional settings, browser controls, and whether the script is allowed to run.
Cloudflare states that its RUM beacon does not use cookies or browser storage to collect these measurements. This is separate from the connection data and security services described above. See Cloudflare's data collection documentation and RUM privacy information.
Search and cookies
The guide search and category filters work within your browser on the pages you have loaded. Search terms are not submitted to a site search server or saved by the site's search feature.
The site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Depending on the security services applied to a request, Cloudflare may use cookies needed for traffic management or security checks. See Cloudflare's cookie information. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect security checks.
Contact messages
Use the Contact page for available contact details and correction requests. If you choose to email the site, your email address, message, and any information you include are processed through the email services involved in sending and receiving it. We use information you send to understand and respond to your inquiry or investigate a correction.
Please include only what is needed to explain the issue. Do not send tax records, passport or residence card numbers, identification documents, bank details, visa documents, or private financial information. For a privacy question or a request concerning a message you sent, use the contact details on the Contact page. The response will depend on the information held and any applicable obligations.
Google advertising if introduced in future
Google ads are not currently active on this site. The following information applies only if Google AdSense is introduced.
When Google advertising is used, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites. Google's advertising cookies may enable Google and its partners to personalize ads using those visits. Advertising services may also receive data such as the page URL, IP address, browser information, and identifiers, and may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads and help prevent fraud.
You can manage personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center. Google explains its handling of partner-site data in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Participating third-party advertising choices are also available through YourAdChoices. These choices do not necessarily remove all advertising or prevent data processing needed for non-personalized ads.
Before any future Google advertising is activated, this policy will identify the advertising services in use and applicable regional disclosures and consent controls will be provided. Where required, consent will be requested before advertising cookies or personal data are used for the relevant purposes. Personalized Google ads for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland require a Google-certified consent management platform. There is currently no advertising consent platform or site-specific advertising preference control on this site.
Links to other websites
Guides link to official services and other external resources. When you follow a link, the destination website handles your information under its own policies. Your browser may send that site connection information and a referring page address, depending on your browser settings and the destination. This site's policy does not govern those websites.
Changes and questions
Changes to the site's data practices will be reflected on this page with a revised update date. For questions about this policy, use the Contact page.
